Suga arrives at sec13 with Disastertainment EP, a four-track exploration of sonic texture and perceptual limits. The work examines how 808s, hi-hats, and snares function as compositional materials—how they layer, accumulate, and reshape listening itself. It’s an experiment in frequency as a vehicle for altered states, asking whether sound can reorganize consciousness or simply pass through it. The tracks investigate the gap between intention and reception, between what’s designed and what’s experienced. The EP resists singular meaning, staging encounters between density and clarity, signal and noise. To listen is to meet the work on its own material terms—to feel the speaker’s movement, the ear’s response, and the body’s and mind’s involuntary participation in an absurd world.
