"Short story long, I forgot about what my great grandma was like. I had no clarity when I was thinking of her. Face, voice, smell... nothing. I went quite crazy about this thing. My 21yo me realized that, and it felt concerning. Until that point I got acquainted with the concept of loss of memory, but more on a physical level. Something can't be repaired, something got stolen, something got erased. However this was something new to me. One day is there, the other not.
One day I took my guitar and went for a walk to Klobenstein. It was a fresh and sunny early spring crystal-clean mountains and that typical delightfully warm sun. When I was on the little train I felt colours and memories of the past washing over me. When I reached the spot, I took my guitar, sat down and I started playing this exact tune. At that moment, everything was more than clear, even beyond memories.
This song is my reminder that no memory is truly lost. It's just there, somewhere.
