Sacrament, the debut album from London Hatred is finally ready to be released to the world.
In development since November 2020, this album is full of snapshots of different genres that kay has been enjoying throughout their life. 'Huntress' has echoes of trance-influenced witch house with some Jamie xx style production via a chopped and screwed vocal sample.
Lo-fi house is touched upon with 'Astral', one of the more laidback tracks on the first half of the album, with 'Femme' exploring the bliss-like state of the journey home from the end of the night.
Sample experimentation is present throughout, with 'Dawnbreak' creating a rhythm in its melody through slicing and random chance providing the basis of the track.
This album, whilst at times difficult to make is a collection of what has inspired Kay to make music. With more plans to come in the future, this album is a sign of what's to come from them.
