Nobody Jones, a five-piece space-country band composed of West Philly style migrants and D.I.Y. scene veterans follow up their debut album 'Missing Person' with 'Distant Star', a collection of their most beloved songs from shows, all never released till now. Drawn from a swirling well of half-remembered, half-imagined genre sitting somewhere on the county line between Townes Van Zandt, Vic Chesnutt and the Meat Puppets, Nobody Jones's sound ranges from the cinematic to the raucous to the intimate. Using plain-spoken songwriting, they navigate contemporary alienation and affection, sharing with the listener a few scraps of the deeply personal in hopes of charting a collective map of the soul.
