1. SIGNAL PRESSURE REVIEW
Psycho Jazz Thrillers is the clearest surviving document of NERI RITUALE—the working unit built around Luciano “Lampada” Neri and the Acciaio Rituale ensemble—operating at full capacity during the peak Malfatto and Ferrospina production years.
This is not a composed album.
It is what remained after everything else was used.
Inside Studio Malfatto Produzioni, Neri depended on a fixed group capable of recording quickly, holding timing, and adapting to constant editorial change. That group became NERI RITUALE.
What is preserved here are the pieces that didn’t enter the system cleanly:
• unused cue assemblies
• extended groove sections
• alternate takes that ran long
• fragments too stable to cut apart
With the full ensemble engaged, the material shifts.
The rhythm section locks into longer cycles.
Organ expands and holds the midrange.
Structures begin to resemble complete pieces before being interrupted.
Neri remains in control—placing, trimming, aligning—but here the performances push against the limits of the cue format.
You hear passages that almost resolve.
Bass figures that settle into sustained patterns.
Drums that maintain momentum beyond the edit window.
Organ layers that begin to stack before being cut.
These were not rejected for quality.
They were removed because they exceeded function.
Too complete.
Too long.
Too resistant to segmentation.
What remains is the strongest unused material from that collaboration—evidence of how the system behaved when given slightly more room than it was designed to allow.

7. EPILOGUE
NERI RITUALE was never presented as a band.
It was the working unit behind the system—Neri’s fixed ensemble for executing cue production across Studio Malfatto Produzioni and Ferrospina Edizioni Sonore.
This cassette captures the moments where that system loosened.
Not alternate versions.
Not experiments.
Just material that held together longer than required.
Bass lines that didn’t break.
Structures that didn’t collapse on cue.
Performances that resisted reduction.
These were not discarded.
They were set aside.
MSA-666 collects them in their most intact form—the clearest view of the collaboration before it was cut back into function.
Not a compilation.
A remainder.
