Funky Butt Club (aka The Funkies) is a new band by Trevor Hart. Known mostly for his work with his freeform jazz quartet, Trevor now explores his own musical origins - the traditions of early jazz, rags, spirituals and blues.

The early jazz tradition has a freedom, an energy and a beauty that has resulted in it being an enduring music culture.

The Funkies dive into this tradition with reckless abandon, bringing a big brass sound whilst reinventing some modern classics.
