Yunzero has been drip feeding from his personal collection of edits over the last few years. Breaking from the usual DJ tool mold, ‘Edits’ evokes the spirit of J Dilla’s through short-form reworks that completely reimagine their source material with surreal confidence and skill.

Yunzero is a longtime fixture of the local underground. He plays bass in the warped pop group Cloud Ice 9, and is part of dummy tree, an improvisational supergroup known for their shape-shifting live sets. Across all his projects, there’s a throughline of playful unpredictability and deep sonic curiosity.

Yunzero's past releases on West Mineral Ltd, Lillerne Tapes and .jpeg Artefacts have placed him in the company of some of experimental music’s most forward-thinking artists. ‘Edits’ is a wild detour, but not unexpected.
