SIGNAL PRESSURE REVIEW
Milano, Notte del 31 Ottobre 1983 captures the only documented live performance of NERI RITUALE, a working unit centered on Luciano “Lampada” Neri with members of Acciaio Rituale during the early Malfatto / Ferrospina period.
Unlike the studio-based cue programs associated with Malfatto output, this recording presents the same structural approach without time constraints. Repeating bass figures, sustained organ tones, and limited-range synthesizer patterns are extended into continuous sequences rather than segmented cues.
The performance is organized as two long-form sides built from familiar cue logic. Bass establishes a steady pulse that remains consistent throughout. Organ and synthesizer layers expand gradually across the midrange. The drum kit maintains a restrained, stable tempo, supporting continuity rather than driving change.
Guitar appears sparingly, used as a structural marker rather than a lead element. Synth signals indicate transitions through gradual changes in density instead of abrupt shifts.
What defines this recording is duration. Material typically structured as short cues is extended to full side-length sequences, allowing small variations in tone, timing, and placement to accumulate over time. The system remains intact; only the constraints are removed.

EPILOGUE
Within the Malfatto system, recordings are typically reduced to fixed-duration cues. This document presents the same structural approach without that reduction.
Patterns repeat, shift slightly, and continue without interruption. The ensemble maintains control throughout, allowing the system to operate continuously rather than in segmented form.
It remains a rare record of the Neri–Acciaio Rituale collaboration functioning as a sustained performance rather than a series of discrete cues.
