Le Estemporaneee is a collection of electronic improvisations by Mario Savino, recorded throughout 2023 on repurposed 1980s Type II tapes in the remote countryside of Vallo di Diano (Italy). Developed through analogue synthesis and sonic residue, the album emerges as a tactile meditation on delay and tonal erosion—an investigation into the individual’s fragmented sense of reality and enduring identification with life’s illusory values. Rooted in perceptual tension, each composition stands as a distinct auditory snapshot, punctuated by oscillating interludes that drift between closeness and detachment. Guiding the listener into a state of no-mind, the tracks intertwine toward the convergence of two opposing universes: the euphoric ascent to enlightenment and the precipice of its dissolution.
Mario Savino (IT) is a multidisciplinary artist and sound designer whose homespun ambient music unfolds through textural complexities shaped by a heuristic inquiry into the interplay between human consciousness and natural phenomena. Working from his converted shed in the rural town of Teggiano, in southern Italy, he crafts musical objects from repurposed materials. Alongside his solo practice, Savino contributes to the alt-rock/shoegaze collective I Ventured Across The Stream.
