‘Have you ever faced a moment in your life so heavy that you had to retreat into a bubble of your own making? For me, that bubble was initially a world of sonic hedonism—one I shaped through the EP. What began as an escape into sensory indulgence, ironically became the very tool that helped me look inward and navigate a difficult chapter.

As the process unfolded, my focus shifted—from the surface-level signs of hedonism to an emotional depth I could reach through delays, reverbs & layering of sounds. That shift turned the act of making this EP from a form of escapism into something more honest: a way of confronting and moving through what I was experiencing.

Looking back, I’ve been doing that in one form or another, since I first started sneaking into clubs at an early age—always with a sound system at the centre of it all. Systems of Reflection is the most sincere expression of that journey, rooted as much in hedonism as it is in healing & transformation.’

Systems of Reflection initially presents itself as a collection of club heaters, but zoom in & it reveals deeper layers, offering a glimpse into Florentino’s evolution as an artist. From the party starter ‘Esto’ to the more introspective groove of ‘evol/ǝʌol’ and the trail-blazing reggaeton pressure of ‘Dame Materia’ (in collaboration with ‘Clara!’), this EP is a testament to Florentino’s ability to reinvent himself while staying true to his roots. It’s a reflection of growth—both personal & musical—and a bold step into the future of his artistry.
