It is with a heavy heart to share that the artist Mark Bridger aka Yilan is no longer with us, he passed away on the 10th of February 2025. ‘In Hope House’ is a beautiful and touching tribute in memory of Yilan by fellow LOFS artist and collaborator Renslink.

'The funeral service was one of the most amazing services I have ever been to because even though I didn’t necessarily know Mark personally, I understood him on a level which runs incredibly deeply into my life and to see how he touched so many people in such a similar way was a truly amazing thing to witness
He was the first person to approach me at a Leeds producers forum, which is for people who don’t know a place where budding producers get together at Hope House in Leeds and listen to their tracks on the iconic cosmic slop sound system. He was the first person to truly encourage and understand what I was trying to do and instantly we connected. This connection through music lead us to release multiple collaborations which were as an individual producer my first ever releases. He was the kind of person who only wanted everyone around him to succeed and grow. I am forever indebted to him for believing in me because in those early stages belief is so fragile.
I can’t really describe very well with words so when the public announcement of his passing was announced I had to switch my phone off and this track basically just fell out of me. I hope I can communicate something further to people about through music we can heal, grow, connect, dance without even knowing each others name music can connect us all on levels which we could never truly understand. This is what me and mark had and I’m forever grateful for him, his passion and his belief as I may not be doing what I am today without him. The music will live on and so will he through many peoples lives. A true trailblazer and he will be sorely missed.'
