STILL debuts on Don-Ri’s Twist imprint with TWIST003, a four-track clinic of sub low pressure and rugged rhythms in the finest underground tradition.

Part of an exciting milieu of stateside bass aficionados, STILL revels in the sanctity of the subs. Born in Seattle and now Brooklyn-based, he is the co-founder of SINK SOUND; a burgeoning club night celebrating all things bass and breaks. His productions are similarly fuelled by the raw textures of UK club culture, and thus inevitably led to a link up with the Twist crew.

Opener Deeper Remix rides light across chromatic contours, its electro momentum gliding through vocal croons and 8 bar technicolour. Pressure Dub rolls ruder, a nocturnal snapper that skips red-eyed and loose across the nocturnal haze. Weirder yet is Sangs Motion Dub, a tense galloper that leans wayward on the abstracted breaks and atonality. Viscosity signals curtain call, a barn-storm finale marrying glacial synths and a wobbling low-end for an exhilarating haul to close.
