Open edition
Recorded as part of Sunhound Art Collective's 2026 group exhibition "Redefining Orange" in Ladera Ranch, CA.
Features a live recording and two works commissioned for the event.
"Sanctuary I" is a time and motion-based performance; artist Amanda Grunloh activated the space using a custom suit made from the artist's own archival doily collection, while Bruin Acuna accompanied the performance using percussion, electronics, field recordings, and PA sound system.
"For Solo Performer" is a score written to accompany artist Gabija Vabalaitė's solo movement improvisation. Composed of field recordings, found sound, and distorted electronics, the work was augmented and performed live with improvised percussion and movement by Acuna and Vabalaitė, respectively.
"For Duo Performers" is a work written to score an improvised movement duet between Grunloh and Vabalaitė. Utilizing the same materials as before, the work was augmented and altered live in response to the decisions and reactions of the performers.
Special thanks to Espen Oh, Adam Chacón, Noe Stengel, Baltic Arts, Amy Bozek, Howard Grunloh, and Stephen Burt.
Exhibition and performances sponsored by Sunhound Art Co.
Cover art and bonus materials taken from additional documentation of the event.
