For when the summer is windy, when the nights are bright and when the wind blows some sense into me. ‘You Are More Than A Thousand Words’ is built from guitar, clarinet, voice, loops and fragments of sound. Melodies appear in passing, sometimes improvised, sometimes repeating until they fray. The recording sits close to silence: rhythms stumble, drum loops get stuck and phrases return like half-remembered thoughts. It feels both domestic and wide open, an infinite sketch of the night sky and the air that moves through.
