A narcotic, lethargic drag coats the narration in OX. The airy gloss of the instrumentals equally never seems to go anywhere. We hear a side character, a residual elliptical view of a stratified society, cast upward toward the heights.
Jared Madere is an artist and curator whose work has been exhibited internationally at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Le Magasin, Amager Bakke, The Istanbul Biennial, and The Watermill Center, amongst other venues. His sculptures include diverse and unstable materials such as raspberries, terrazzo, calf blood, hardtack, sleeping bags, and letter sealing wax.
