From the extremely diverse and varied global music scene, we strive to select the most outstanding artists who create original music with a distinctive signature sound and shape, or innovate new musical genres and hybrids.

∎ Latin Grammy nominee JLZ is one of the most outstanding Brazilian producers, who has been pushing the boundaries of baile funk with his tracks for over 8 years. Whether it is in the WEIRD BAILE collective, where he is a member, or his own productions, collaborations, or productions for rappers and singers, JLZ proves himself as a versatile musician, producer, and DJ who knows no limits and boundaries.

∎ With the EP TUMBA (translated from Portuguese as “tomb”) for Swine Records, he delved into a darker subgenre of baile funk, also called “Romano”. It is distinctive for its use of Egyptian and Arabic melodic samples, as well as its slower tempo, which creates a dark atmosphere. TUMBA is on the border of tracks that you can enjoy at home on headphones, and also in the club environment with a quality sound system.
