For Healing Potions’ debut release, Copenhagen producer A.dixen delivers Oceanic Memory – a four–track EP that explores the fragility of memory and its ebb and flow, like waves on open water.
Shaped from modular sketches, sequencer-driven loops, and extended hardware jams, the record drifts between dub abstraction, bass-weighted minimalism, and hazy atmospheres. Low-end pressure churns beneath the surface while lighter textures shimmer and dissolve above, creating a balance between clarity and blur – presence and recollection.
Tracks unfold with a hypnotic patience: polyrhythms, off-kilter grooves, and deep, aquatic basslines that sit somewhere between techno, progressive, and UK-inspired sounds — always with a leftfield sensibility. Both immersive and functional, the EP invites deep listening while it can slip onto the dancefloor.
Created in the spring and early summer of 2024, during a stretch of quiet home-studio time, Oceanic Memory is part personal document, part sound experiment. With Oceanic Memory, Healing Potions sets the tone for its sonic world: music shaped by exploration, where every track becomes a carefully distilled potion — a remedy for those seeking new sonic horizons.
