'In Say' is a performance of Terry Riley's 'In C' (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_C) using samples generated by saysynth (saysynth.org).
Each performance was recorded in a single take using Ableton and an APC-40 to trigger the 53 "cells" of the score. Nine voices were used and I was able to modify the octave and release of each voice in real time. The stereo mix of the voices was routed through a DJ mixer which gave me the abilitiy to apply a low-pass filter and reverb effects, as well. The recording of my first take was unintentionally distorted, but I liked the effect so I'm releasing it as a "thrased" version.
