This is my first release on Nina — an ambient trance track I made with my girlfriend during a very transformative period. I had just moved from my hometown, Curitiba, to São Paulo to pursue my career as a music producer. It’s been a difficult path — I don’t come from money, and breaking into such an elitist industry in Brazil feels like a battle.
Over time, my other project, Owlt, became very tied to my work as a producer for other artists, and that started to limit me creatively. DJ Erased is a way for me to reconnect with my own artistic voice — a space where I can be free, vulnerable, and share my own ideas without expectations.
At the moment, I’ve had to pause my artist career to focus on projects that help me make a living — but this release is a window back into who I am and what I dream of creating.
