'Oh My' is a brief snapshot of a connection being made between two people. Two sides of one story, symmetrical attraction and longing, and maybe lamenting having not made more of an opportunity.
It’s a hazy recollection, but a yearning remains. A thought that’s stuck, and internalised, ‘all I wanted was you’. I had an instrumental, a first verse, and a chorus but the song always felt like it needed another voice, and another perspective.
Enter Nattica. A chance meeting at a writing camp, and a cancelled writing session in need of filling turned out to be a fateful sequence. I put the call out and she found a sliver of time before her ice skating class took her away. Turns out that was all the time we needed and what you hear is all we needed. The song was complete, elevated by her presence on it.
