Past Life Romeo is a fictional, androgynous character wandering through nocturnal landscapes in search of a lost love. Blending indie folk, Americana, electronic textures, and diary-style writing, *Wild Nights & Big Fights & I Miss You Baby Please Come Back* explores grief, desire, and queer tenderness. Abandoned drive-ins, forests, ruins, empty ranches—through the same places and memories, each track functions as an endless quest inspired by video games, in a Sisyphean, deliberately repetitive wandering.
The opening track and manifesto of the EP, “Somewhere in America, We Kissed,” is both a love song and a tribute. Inspired by the American lesbian novel *Stone Butch Blues*, the track celebrates queer joy, community, and safe spaces—bars, cars, nights—while telling a love story set against a mythologized American landscape. The track captures the memory of a past relationship in the form of a road trip; here, America becomes a dreamlike and uncertain space, a place of projection, where love and community merge: “I couldn’t point it out on a map, but I’m sure of where we’re at.”
