Shifting gear from the hyper-pop sound that characterised much of her highly lauded debut EP, TAAHLIAH's collaboration with Berlin-based producer Luca Eck offers a cut of forward-thinking techno.
A club-focused track, 'Bodies' layers weighty, slamming percussion with driving synth hooks, coming together to build an intensely physical texture, pushing the boundaries of TAAHLIAH's signature sound.
Of the track, TAAHLIAH explains:
"'Bodies’ chronicles the experience of the club. A hyper-realised version of techno music. The track is kinetic and exhilarating. It was so fun being able to collaborate with Luca on this track - we’ve been admirers of each other’s music for a while and grew so much closer as friends through our work and being in the studio together."
‘Bodies’ is the first of a trilogy of standalone singles released across the meteorological seasons of 2022.
