Kat Orlando's latest EP release is
called “BLACK TIE”. The title cut is tailor made for the
urban ball room dance crowd. It’s smooth yet it has a subtle
drive that would make any dancer glide across the floor
whether in crowd or as a couple. The woman in the song
has her eye the guy with the black tie. The NEW SINGLE
“Love Army (Like-Minded” has a fresh melody that wraps
around the listener like a warm hug. In this message, Kat is
reasoning with the listener to return to love-without being
preachy. If John Lennon were alive, he would approve this
message. In her next track, Kat takes a humorous look at
being a reluctant guest to her friend’s daughter’s wedding.
“Mean Daughter’s Wedding” is cool dance cut that tells the
bride-to-be in her in her imagined RSVP “please don’t get
me wrong, you’ll find your Amazon in the morning...” and
“have a drink for me!” And finally, Kat returns to writing
the classic love song. “You Baby” is an anniversary song if
there ever was one! “..here we are as years go by, still floating
on cloud with you...” In all these songs, melody rules, as
Kat remembers the music heroes of her past, all the while
heading straight into the musical future.
