Acclaimed British cellist and film composer Oliver Coates adds a trademark spectral touch to his rework of The Vernon Spring’s “Other Tongues” from the 2025 album Under a Familiar Sun, bringing the track into a hallowed contemplative space. Swirling waves of cello shimmer in chromatic dialogue with disintegrating fragments of aden’s vocal arrangements, like a dream gradually shifting in and out of focus, only briefly revealing glimpses of meaning and memory.
