Everything To You (Side A) is the debut EP of New York-based experimental pop/multimedia artist Jude Icarus. Across 5 tracks of tender, expansive songwriting that oscillate between whispery spareness and distorted eruptions, the record paints a dusky portrait of strained love in a precarious, estranged world. "All I see are small things and small people," he sings in a ringing falsetto on the opener, "still I wanna be all things to you."

Recorded between New York and Philadelphia at Jude and co-producer Isak Gaines' respective studios, the record crackles with the deconstructed feel of home demos interspersed with hi-fi production flourishes. Combining exploratory song structure and artifact-laden audio collage that echo Yves Tumor and Bon Iver with an earnest, impressionistic lyrical intimacy, the tracks on this EP reach for fractured catharsis. “We’ll be walking in the wasteland singing ‘Every Little Step,’” he smiles on closing track “Cold Comfort (II)”. It might not be ok, in fact it probably won’t, but isn’t there beauty in the way it falls apart?
