"This is ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ.
This album is a construct on the language which composes, and continues to compose, our musical lexicon. 26 letters represented by 26 titles creating a sonic grammar which has been our common thread through 5 albums now.
Signs, symbols and figures are our founding influences. This is where this alphabet finds its Alpha.
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ is an evocation, almost an incantation, of influences that have shaped our musical and shared lexicon. A raw material, without which we would not have had the chance to meet and experience this twinning. This is also a song of the machine, and of the machines, an extension of the capacities of instruments, originating in the middle of the 90’s, when electronic music emerged, and should be listened to while listening to your inner self.
It is, for the two of us, the song of printed circuits, electronic dreams cradled by IDM (Intelligent dance music), which finds its expression in the compilations Artificial Intelligence of Warp Records, Braindance of Rephlex, and the abstractions of Skam and Planet Mu, of dream music under the influence, electronica in all its forms, the abstract analogue of the soundtracks of our childhood. A founding anthology in our work, but one which we have never addressed to this level and which, therefore, became our starting point.
We have always been seduced by the idea that music is a language, which contrary to the verb, is universal. Music doesn’t require the same resources: it evokes images, provokes emotion, no translation required.
It is for us a universal message, a thought without discord, without opposition, a sharing that helps us leave our own doom. A communion to extract us from the hysteria. Strangely, in its universality, its perception, its abstract interpretation, emotion, depends on the sensitivity and receptivity of each and every one of us.
An interpretation for infinite interpretations. It is a very personal and spontaneous album. A series of organic and synthetic landscapes. ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ is not the symbol of one story as with our previous albums, but more a symbol of our common history, and certainly of those to come.
