vvovoxx (Maxim Molokh) is a producer and DJ from Samara, co-founder of Zero Condition, and founder of the sub-label Dancetroy!
In his new single, vvovoxx steps beyond his usual club-oriented production and experiments within the realm of leftfield electronic music. Continuing the IDM direction he previously explored in his remix for dslx, Maxim moves toward a heavier, more textured sound.
In "No More Death" vvovoxx explores the perennial theme of life and death. Forging its path with amen breaks, the composition moves from darkness to light, traveling from "dungeon-like" viscous bass to exultant synthesizers. In a sense, it is a heroic epic condensed into the format of a single track.
This confrontation is expressed not only through artistic textures but also quite literally. The refrain "No death!", which enters in the second half and guides us until the very finale, manifests the end of dark times and the victory of life over death.
"No More Drums" built on a more ethereal foundation, ideologically reflects the same journey toward the light. However, unlike the main version, it reaches its destination through less militant, more introspective methods.
