Komatsu himself picked up and re-edited some moments from the three-hour sound source of “Years” (2025) a sound installation work presented at his solo exhibition at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka, in this special compilation.

Toru Takemitsu produced a tape music piece called “Years of Ear, "What is music?""for the 1970 Osaka World's Fair, but the tape music has been lost and no longer exists.Komatsu created fictional Expo music, referencing this lost tape music.
