"Estensione Mancante" is the new music project by the Hyperacustica collective, bringing together the sounds and experiences of the six resident musicians during their time managing the club Al Muretto. It is a collective album that serves as a deep reflection on the sonic influences emerging from their interactions with each other, with guest artists, and with the atmospheres generated in that meeting place.
The project takes shape as a sonic manifesto exploring the concept of the "Missing Extension". On a physical level, this concept translates into loss and the absence of a real, traversable, and multidirectional space—where real-time distances can be traveled, unlike the instantaneous connections offered by the hyperconnected world. It is precisely this erasure of spatial experience and the virtualization of encounters that reveal themselves as the missing extension, dismantling the illusion that physical distance is no longer an obstacle today. Hyperacustica challenges the internalized belief that everything is immediately accessible, making the "Missing Extension" the very field of research.
The music proposed by Hyperacustica stems from a desire to move beyond this self-centered drift, not only in clubs but in spaces and relationships in general. The six tracks of the album explore the dissolution of physical space, stretching moments into the creation of new habitats. Each composition represents the interrelations experienced within the club, while also bringing to light a collective awareness of absence and the need for spaces free from power dynamics and market-driven logic.
