Artificial Dreams is a sound research focused on the never-ending recording of an auditory dream diary.
I assembled it with cut-ups and manipulations of field recordings and discarded takes, trying to capture the liminal threshold that divide the dreaming state from the waking one, in all its fragmentation and uncanniness: constant changes of scenery, environments that merge in each other or that don't sound as they should, that feeling that something is off and yet so familiar.
Dreams have always been my main source of inspiration and it's just feels natural to be finally walking on this path.
Until no more dreams will come, this diary's entries will.
The first one consists of 6 dreams and 1 nightmare.
My Zoom H6 has long become my favorite instrument.
