Vogelklang is an ambient project by musician Otis Klang. “Anfang” – which means “beginning” in German – marks the opening gesture of "Recall to Forget", the debut work by Vogelklang.
Composed and performed live to cassette using a Tascam 488, “Anfang” unfolds as a slow awakening – a meditation between memory and erasure, where tones blur and silence breathes. There is no linear progression, no climax; instead, a gentle unraveling that feels both intimate and distant, like remembering a dream that was never yours.
Sound exists in the liminal – between the natural and the unseen, the ordinary and the strange. “Anfang” is not merely an introduction, but an invitation: to drift, to dissolve, and perhaps, to find a trace of yourself in the echo.
