Bed of Roses head honcho Break Mode turns out two tracks of introspective, breaks inspired head spinners with choice remixes from Carly Barton and Sound Believer. Wash One is a slo-mo, heady, end-of-night jaw pleaser built on layers of swirling vocal samples from wwwhisperkid and an 808 kick. Stabs is an acid-dipped, mid-tempo dance movement dripping with melodrama and not-not reminiscent of Violator-era Depeche Mode. Fresh off their brilliant OST release, Carly Barton splits Stabs in two with a darker rolling baseline, trance-inducing use of stereo and one eye towards sunrise. Sound Believer turns in a 7 minute, 90's UK tinged remix of Wash One with a driving four-on-the-floor beat and an ethereal balearic breakdown.
