"Folks claim you're dead, but I see through you °‡°‡°. You've pulled off your ultimate escape; for years you acted old, pretending to forget everything, spouting gibberish to reinforce your cover. You got caught multiple times and duped everyone by acting clueless about your identity. I can't even begin to fathom where you are now, but I'm sure you've got everything set for the wildest, most outrageous POST-META-RAVE-CULTURE-CLASH-3000X party that non-history will ever remember."
Nathan L. (aka Lorenzo Colocci) is a musician, composer, visual artist, and inventor; trained in classical flute, jazz composition, and arrangement, he has been working in various experimental and genre-breaking contexts spanning improvisation, chamber music, electronics, noise, meth-metal, installation, and performance. His sound surfaces from a unique and inordinate working process in which sonic material from various traditional classical instruments are shredded, forced into feedback loops, and mixed with recordings of crashing software, futuristic self-built instruments, and tender manual processing.
He creates his own sound path, improving his prototypes of extended flute (Flaubosax), no-input flute to broaden the sound possibilities beyond the physical limits of the instrument, exploring new musical possibilities; he collaborates and performs with a variety of forward-thinking musicians and artists in many multidisciplinary projects releasing music with international labels such as the US label Nefarious Industries (Byebye Tsunami), Textur (Nathan L.), Neu Klang (The Ropesh), Phantom Limb and Chinabot (SABIWA).
L performed at renowed festival such as CTM (Berlin), ORF Musikprotokoll (Graz), Other Future Festival (Amsterdam), Euphonic Festival (Spain), Plato/ Kamera Oko (Ostrava), Sulfure Festival (Paris), and more.
