"The Point" was self-released on November 15, 2021, as an independently produced work. From the outset, a clear structure and sonic direction were predetermined, allowing the composition to be realized through the inclusion of live drum samples and by layers of ambient textures and soundscape elements, generated with Max-MSP. A minimalist melody was written for the grand piano, forming the core of the track’s lyrical sound palette.
The most significant decision during the process was the inclusion of a spoken-word section, featuring the artist's poem. There had always been hesitation around merging poetry with music, but a more experimental mindset led to a realization of the potential that exists in bringing the two practices together.
Point
A question mark
Will surround all attention.
A yellowed leaf
That concludes a marriage
Will spin and remind
The withering of Earth.
The word will be rewritten
Several times.
The snow of graphite skies
Can hardly be heard.
The dead hum
Of the foreign sun order,
Will begin to resonate
With a foreign bird.
The warmth of rays and
Ideas by roll call
Will emphasize the sentence
Before chanting
This early response.
Contented does not want to fall asleep,
Grateful for that white night.
After all, now he is undressed.
One won’t leave the chest open
For a long time.
