the chosen cover art for this short EP is the most representative image of the time period when the first two tracks were created: a mix of fog and gloominess, yet with the hope that the sun will shed some light in all that.

the last track is a reconstruction of a larger work called 'black lotus', a piece for 60 double basses commissioned by the Dutch Double Bass Festival (taken from the original recording of its premiere in Rotterdam in October 2023)
