Coisas Estranhas (2024) is the second album by the band behind the hit Lagartixa Tropical.
Unlikely scenarios, inanimate objects, reptiles, and sea creatures: in the musical (and visual) universe of Exclusive Os Cabides, anything can come to life – but only if it’s funny. With ten tracks, the group from Florianópolis builds the album Coisas Estranhas, the second in their discography, released on July 19 2024.
“The album was born out of rehearsals and shows. We realized that the new songs we were making were forming a block that made sense together. Almost all of them have a strange or unusual theme. And the cover photo influenced us from the very beginning, inspiring the album’s title. Coisas Estranhas portrays a visual universe, and it was this universe that shaped the record,” says João Paulo Pretto, vocalist and guitarist of the band, which also includes Antônio dos Anjos (vocals and percussion), Eduardo Possa (guitar), Maitê Fontalva (bass), and Carolina Werutsky (drums).
