‘Kaitlin Music’ is kaitlin simotics’ debut full-length album, out on Relaxin Records on 13 Dec 2024. It follows up two of their 2021 self-released EPs, ‘ancient gesture’ and ‘honey dumpling siren song.’ ‘Kaitlin Music’ collages a unique selection of samples, text to speech poetry, and effected vocals to occassionally convey a loose pop structure, but not too often. Combining elements of plunderphonics, experimental production, and absurdist lyricism, the album allows itself to become something equal parts fun and ironically unsettling, but most importantly #relatable.

‘Kaitlin Music’ evokes a certain sense of overwhelming digital entropy, or maybe it’s just blurred vision after moving the pixels around for hours on end? Ads pop up, we ‘x’ out of them. It’s whatever.
