Petal, a rising starlet in the Brooklyn electronic music scene, presents RECEIVING MY FLOWERS, her debut album exploring the journey of learning to love oneself. Raised in the real-life version of Snobby Shores (Long Island), the Brooklyn-based producer, DJ, and organizer is dedicated to improving the status of “Little New Jersey.”
Since 2023, Petal has made waves by performing at venues such as The Lot Radio, Le Bain, and Nowadays, and she’s just getting started. Petal enjoys producing and mixing music in the same way she lives her life, by blending ideas that don’t normally go together. When asked about how she got her start, she always uses the same line:
“Music was my first love, and sharing music was my second love.”
RECEIVING MY FLOWERS is Petal’s most ambitious project to date, spanning genres and moods. It weaves together footwork, techno, jungle, and ambient music, occasionally accented with playful vocals.
