D3U5E returns to Programm LDN with a double single built squarely for the dance. Having taken the reins of the label alongside Budos earlier this year, the release marks renewed energy for the project with two peak-time cuts that are the essence of his sound.
D3U5E has always lived on the fringes of genre, and this release is no different. He pulls from UK bass music’s golden era, stripping it down and fusing it with a jagged electro aesthetic. ‘This and That’ is a whirlwind primed with gravely hats and scattered breakbeats, while on the flip, ‘Leyton Lorikeet’ rides a more melodic groove, a percussive headbanger packing a snare that snaps like a whip across the floor.
