An occasion is something that happens at a certain moment in time and is perceived as a change in the state of the world.
In an era of excess and overabundance, it can be difficult to focus on internal processes, states, and reflections — it’s easy to overlook how you suddenly find yourself at point B, having barely noticed point A.
Launching a new series of compilations, Zero Condition uses musical sketches as events to reflect on how the label itself can become an independent event. It takes on the task of expressing a state of transition — a brief passage from “yesterday” to “tomorrow.”
Each track is almost an accident in the endless and lightning-fast metamorphoses of contemporary electronic music. United together, they form a narrative of what is happening in music — here and now.
