Jayden’s work came to our attention through a friend at another independent record label who said “I thought this might be more your thing” and from listening to the opening bars we knew it was. We included his track Vocaroo on Yes Yes: An Unfashionable Compilation immediately.

Jayden is a young person living in Pennsylvania, USA, who creates spontaneous tunes straight from the heart. His improvisational style gives his music a freshness and directness that is hard to find in a lot of singer/songwriter music. Reminiscent of a young Daniel Johnston, Jayden is only beginning a promising career in outsider music creation starting with his feelings about school, friendships and family direct from his bedroom.

Equipped with a Casio WK-6600 electric keyboard, his songs ramble and reach as he explores emotions and situations. It’s D.I.Y. as fuck, and if you listen carefully you might hear his dad calling him for dinner.

Jayden previously released Songs for Odd Balls via the fascinating Sassbologna Records based in Muscatine, Iowa.

"The Music is abstract, weirdness somehow recorded from a big green house in the middle of nowhere with 8-tracks and animation cels all in boxes, which are next to the beaten-up typewriter lined up in the teeny--tiny room Jayden occupies.
