Chill Child is an indie electro-pop song with a pulsating bass line propelling the synth-heavy percussive groove. Liset Alea's passionate vocals elevate the song to spine-tingling heights. Lyrically it’s a meditation on the art of patience and perspective. Giving time a chance to work its magic to reveal what's truly worth fighting for.
The idea for the song title came from trying to guess a Wordle puzzle. The word “Chill” was the incorrect guess, and the following one, “Child”, solved the game. This word combination inspired a melody, and the lyric ideas followed.
The collaboration came about when Lowly Light pitched the song to Liset who has been on top of his list of artists to work with. She loved the track and the lyrical message, and was eager to bring her own vision to the project resulting in an electrifying performance.
Liset Alea first gained prominence as a vocalist with Nouvelle Vague with whom she toured all over the world. Liset amassed millions of streams on singles by Rodriguez Jr., Audiojack, Alexkid and Patrick Topping among others. She has just finished a festival tour, including performances at 2024 Burning Man.
Lowly Light is the pseudonym for Matt Gorny, an award-winning songwriter and producer. Matt has collaborated on songs for dance artists such as Ultra Nate, Amanda Lepore, Luca Perra among others, bringing his unique production style to each project.
