"Meet Your Antagonist" is Lone Fir Cemetery's debut album, a concept piece told in a series of four chapters, chronicling a story of regret, infatuation, and disillusionment.
The narrative follows the point of view of "the Antagonist," who after being partially responsible for the suicide of an old friend, must come to terms with what they've done.
The first chapter introduces Alexander, the friend of the Antagonist who they disowned after Alex came out as transgender.
The second chapter focuses on the feelings and aftermath 6 months after Alexander's death.
The third chapter encompasses the following 6 months. It is a plead for a savior---a lover to find solace in.
The fourth chapter is the culmination of the Antagonist's guilt, shame, and despondency.
