Expressions of a Mind in Slumber is formed from fragments of sleep talking recorded by Sangre Voss (aka Jim Bremner) between 2017 and 2019. The recordings have been arranged into the nine episodes presented here, alongside ambient and experimental musical accompaniments.
The sleep talking recordings were made possible by the development of an open-source tool called Somnilopy developed by Maya, allowing for automated gathering of high-quality voice samples throughout the night. The GitHub repository for Somnilopy can be found here: github.com/mfmmq/somnilopy
