Two years after the release of "The Well," Ralph Beeby & the Elephant Collective finally return with a slew of new singles, the first of which...is this one. "Long Road Home" tells the story of a lonely drifter who stumbles across a strange little town in the middle of nowhere...and immediately wants to get back out. It’s a haunting mix of Blues and Gothic Americana, decorated with a shimmering lead guitar and punctuated by “found” sounds where you’d normally expect drums.
"Beeby’s voice—gravelly, weathered, and rich with character. It carries the rawness of Appalachian folk but also hints at something older and more mysterious, as if shaped by distant Balkan winds...every phrase feels lived-in, as though he’s telling stories carved into the walls of forgotten taverns."
