Though the Montreal-based DJ and producer Adam Feingold has made music using multiple monikers—Ex-Terrestrial, pondlicker—his newest EP, Nothing Is A Field, is branded under his government name. It’s the first Adam Feingold release in a number of years, and it is a masterclass in what has been called “reductionist house.” For fans of 2000s microhouse or just good, textured dance music, the release will go down like a cold glass of water on an exceedingly hot day.
