Where are you from?
We met wearing handmade Sonic Youth t-shirts at the rally for gifted kids (Confusion is Sex). Back then we were just boys by the beach—we recruited a couple freakazoids from Thee London Orbital and now we’re all men with switchblades fighting in the name of love.
How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it?
The armor in glamor, the ham in hammer, it’s the Matthew Barney J.Crew campaign, sandman’s on the rise again, duz it make yu randy baby? Nervous boner giggles, rock candy in tummy, you will make a lot of money honey ON GOD. Somewhere between Chappell Roan and Martin Denny a disappointed parent cries out: “Aloha freak bitches.”
Tell us about your release on Nina
It, with “it” being our release on Nina, is the second track from our upcoming release Big Soda, which is a rock opera about a love affair at the PepsiCo Pavilion, Osaka, 1970. It was mixed by Robert Venning who makes music as DJ Pitch and Void and happens to be a lake-exclusionary-radical-fisherman.
What kind of tools do you use to make music?
There’s an egg in there somewhere.
Who are three artists you are listening to right now?
Our friends in London: Pazeamor, Sirius, and the Soho Boys.
