“Club Rock” by YUNG NATION

It’s really the beginning of the dance era for me, so I think it’s the perfect song that gives an energy that’s not here no more. It’s a nostalgic feeling, but it’s new to right now.

Best song to listen to when you’re driving really fast?

LUCKI & F1LTHY “2019”

The beat puts you in a trance. I’ve don’ been speeding listening to that track, I’m not going to lie.

Best reggae song?

“Hold Yuh (Remix)” by Gyptian (Feat. Nicki Minaj) 

My mom used to play that all the time, and it just stuck with me. Classic shit.

Best rock song?

“King Of The Hill” by Minutemen

If I want to feel completely different, I listen to the Minutemen. RIP to D. Boon. 

Best song by a Texas rapper?

“Phenomenal” by Lil Keke

The beat is so unique. 

Best song to listen to while you’re eating breakfast? 

“Turn My Swag On” by Soulja Boy 

It’s because the first bar is “hop up out of my bed.” I feel like that’s giving me—I just want to eat cereal. One of those.

Best song that makes you think about the Myspace era?

“Tell Me” by Bobby V. 

 

My sister used to have a Myspace, so she used to have that song playing. Shout out to Bobby V., man. We used to put that on, for sure. 

Best song to play before you go on stage?

“Firestarter” by The Prodigy

That’s how I made that song “GaGGin,” the intro to the new album. That’s where I get it from, The Prodigy. 

Best song to chill out after a set?

“Okay” by Big Sean (Feat. GLC & Chip Tha Ripper)

That’s a song that I grew up to, so it puts me in the most comfortable state.

Best song that makes you excited to be alive?

“Frontin” by Pharrell (Feat. Jay-Z)

I was at one of my friends' houses, and we saw the video on BET when it first dropped. When I saw that, bro, everything about it—I’m trying to be literally like Pharrell.
