NYC-based producer Eden Aurelius emerged from the same vibrant Chicago underground electronic scene that birthed the likes of Purelink, Lillerne Tapes, and Forest Management. The artist first caught our attention with “Natural Structure,” a track featured on the Chicago-based collective Yearning’s compilation Yearning For Beauty, and though “Natural Structure” was a shimmering piece of crystalline bedroom house, Plateau, Eden's stunning debut for Conna Haraway’s new imprint, co:clear, eschews club-centric tendencies for something more personal, dubby, and deep. Echoing the club-adjacent inclinations of her peers like Purelink—who also deliver a fantastic remix on this EP—Aurelius makes music that evokes the spaces and headspaces surrounding the club.
