Today, we are proud to present the music video premiere for the song “Dayni’s Moon” by the artist ijji, who has more famously put out music under the name iji and has produced copious amounts of music for members of the Shed Theory crew. In the video, shot and directed by Brussels-based visual artist Dallae, the line between real space and game space is porous; in the song, the Maybach Music drop is deployed over washy ambient synths. It’s witch house stripped down to its bare essence, overlaid into an uncannily opulent environment. The clip is mysterious in its intentions—both sonically and visually. There are clues but no answers. Does anyone mind if I quote a contemporary poet here? “You're empty, and I'm empty / And you can never quarantine the past.” One of the more intriguing videos you are likely to see all month—not a bad way to launch the producer’s new moniker, which adds that all-important extra J. Give it a watch, and then watch it again.
